Chasing Joy & Health came about when I was going through a lot of different situations in my life. I wanted to create a website that would help myself and others to heal, try to find happiness and joy and to get through this crazy life. I thought that some of the things I learned along the way could help someone else, like you.
Chasing Joy and Health was created to help myself after going through some rough times. I suffered a nervous breakdown. I was dealing with marital problems and then dealing with divorce. The nervous breakdown affected my health to the point where my immune system was weakened. I was getting sicker but I’m a fighter and I had to get up and get my health and life back together.
I’ve been through a lot and now I need to take care of myself. For me what I’m trying to do is to be happy. So, Chasing Joy and Health is what I’m trying to do every day. I’ve been in a search to find different things to help us to be healthy as we age and while we are aging, being joyful in the process.
As I was searching for things that could help me heal I thought about people like myself getting older and dealing with the issues that comes from getting older. As I was going through different changes, aches and pains, brain fog, hot flashes, stress, I thought constantly “I wish someone would have told me, I wish they would have given me a heads up”. I really felt that I should have been warned by all the women in my life about this getting older thing.
In trying to get well I felt like I was always trying to find things, that would help me feel better. I felt like it was there, ahead of me, I felt like I was chasing after, trying hard to get healthy and be happy too.
I decided to be the voice I wish I could have heard from. Someone helping me along the way, giving me suggestions about living life in a healthful way while getting older. I want to be the one that said, “See I’ve told you” in a caring way of course. I want to say that to people through my blog in a way that will be help you to feel better, look better, act better, be better in all you do.
