In your early years of life get in the habit of taking care of yourself on a regular basis.

I wish someone would have told me in my 30’s to make sure I make and keep regular health check-ups. In your 30’s you are living your life fully. Maybe on your own or married with children. Working, usually full time, five days a week or putting 40 or more hours in a week. That’s just work, not including everything else that surrounds that 40 or more hours of work.

Most of the time people in their 30’s are not feeling the effects of getting older yet but things are starting to happen. You may feel little aches and pains here or there. Or some type of health issue shows up in the beginning stages.

This is what I want to encourage everyone: TAKE THE TIME TO TAKE CARE OF YOU!!! Before you know it, you will be 40, 45, 50, 55. What you do NOW in your 30’s will have an effect on your health for the good or the bad.

Make sure no matter how busy our lives get, you take the time out to take care of your health.

Purposely pay more attention to yourself, to your health, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Make the time to take care of yourself.

So, make all the necessary appointments and keep them. That way you will have a record or history of what’s going on inside. This will help you to tackle a problem before it becomes something full blown.

Eat better, exercise regularly, be honest with yourself, have good positive friends and family around you. You stay positive! I just want your years going into your late 30’s and early 40’s to be better because you took the time to take care of yourself.

Try not to let life get in the way of your health. We have to live this life, so live it as healthy as you can. Knowing that you are taking care of yourself now is one thing you won’t have to worry about later.

What you can do is get a routine of taking care of yourself every day. Do the things you love to do for yourself. Don’t put them off. You are worth it. A long bath, a professional massage (my favorite), just being quiet, turning off the TV and just listening to some music. While you are listening to that music get up and dance or sing your heart out.

If you have healthcare try to get your regular checkups yearly.

These are some things that could add to your health. The next day, next month, next year will bring anxieties but because you took care of yourself and your health you will be in good shape to deal with the problems that could and will come your way.

I’m taking my own advice. I’m doing my yearly Mammogram and Colonoscopy.

I was under a lot of stress for many years. While being in that stress I forgot to take care of myself. So now I’m playing catch up. I’m still dealing with mental issues along with emotional ones too, but I’m determined to try to take care of myself as best as I can now.

Wish someone would have told me though….
